- The EQ5 mount is a solid foundation for your telescope, whether you want to practice astrophotography or just visual observation. The micrometric movements in both axes allow you a smooth and precise tracking. It is motorized with the famous Sky-Watcher goto system, the Synscan, which will also allow you to practice long exposure astrophotography thanks to the ST4 port integrated into the system. In addition, the supplied polar scope will allow you to precisely set up the pole, thanks also to the precise movements in azimuth and height.
- It can mount telescopes equipped with vixen dovetail bar, thanks to its mounting flange. It has a maximum load of about 10kg, which allows you to mount Newtons up to 200mm in diameter and refractors up to 120mm or 150mm if with short tube. Or also SC up to 200-230mm. It can also be controlled by computer, using the supplied RS232 cable, connected to the SynScan keypad (in PC-direct mode) and using the excellent EQMOD drivers available for free on the internet. The steel tripod has a variable height from 80 to 130cm and gives great stability to the system.
