It allows you to close your 31.8mm eyepiece securely and extremely quickly.

Thanks to the 2 "connection, Twist Lock can be easily inserted into a diagonal or focuser with a 50.8mm connection and can be used as a practical and convenient self-centering reduction.
Thread for mounting filters 50.8mm (M48)
The Twist Lock has an M48 female thread to allow the use of 50.8mm filters, so you won't have to keep screwing them and removing them from the eyepiece, but you can leave them mounted.
Precise collimation of your instrument
You can combine the Twist Lock with a 31.8mm collimation laser, so you can be sure that the laser is on the optical axis, thanks to the self-centering closure, for accurate collimation.
N.B. Your focuser must have a 50.8mm input in order to use the Twist Lock in this way.
