The 0.8x reducer can bring the focal ratio of the Askar 120APO to F5.6. This is a standard gearbox with field flattening capability. A shorter focal ratio allows the telescope to have a wider field of view and faster exposure times, making it suitable for capturing large areas of nebulae, star clusters and faint, fast-moving celestial objects.
The 0.8x reducer adopts a triplet design and supports a 44mm full-frame image circle. The total weight is 0.75 kg. The back focus from the M48 thread is a standard 55mm. The front thread is M841. We have equipped the reducer with three adapters of different sizes, M681, M540.75 and M480.75, for easy subsequent connection and use. At the same time, it has a built-in 2 inch M48*0.75 filter thread, which can be directly installed and used. The entire body is CNC machined, with threaded metal caps on both ends to prevent dust when not in use.
