The ZWO ASI533MC-Pro is a high-performance cooled color astronomy camera equipped with the back-illuminated Sony IMX533 sensor. Designed for advanced astrophotography, it delivers high sensitivity, low noise and stable cooling performance for long-exposure deep-sky imaging.
With a generous 50,000e full well capacity, excellent quantum efficiency and dual-stage TEC cooling down to −40 °C below ambient temperature, this camera captures clean, detailed images of nebulae, galaxies and star clusters. The integrated 256MB DDR3 buffer ensures smooth data transfer with no dropped frames.
Performance and Sensor Technology
The BSI CMOS sensor offers 9.07 MP resolution with 3.76 µm pixels, ~80% peak QE and extremely low read noise of 1.0e @24dB gain. The true 14-bit dynamic range enables excellent tonal depth, preserving faint and bright details. Support for 4K at 120 fps makes it suitable for high-speed planetary imaging as well.
Connectivity
A high-speed USB 3.0 interface and integrated dual USB 2.0 hub allow seamless connection of accessories such as guide cameras, ensuring stable performance without data loss.
