Vai al moduloThe Baader FlipMirror II is a highly versatile star diagonal designed to optimize workflow in astrophotography, visual observation, and spectroscopy. Its innovative three-port system allows several accessories to remain permanently installed, eliminating constant swapping in the dark and ensuring efficient, reliable operation.
The straight-through port (S52, M48 and T-2 on both sides) supports full-frame cameras, spectrographs, and various scientific instruments. The top port features an adjustable T-2 thread, suitable for eyepiece clamps, video modules (up to 32 mm image circle), or even a binoviewer. The lower flange is designed for the optional Off-Axis Guider for FlipMirror II (BFM-OAG) or an optional calibration lamp for spectroscopy.
The precision surface-mirrored flip mirror features a durable multi-layer aluminium coating, providing high-resolution images ideal for today’s small-pixel cameras. The back side of the mirror is likewise aluminium-coated and masked to allow a calibration lamp to project light into a spectrograph slit.
The FlipMirror II is compatible with the Baader Astro T-2 system, the M48 system and the UFC filter changer. The rotatable, backlash-free M48 stainless-steel dovetail rings enable perfect alignment of every attached accessory. The body also includes preparation for motorized operation via toothed belt, ideal for automated astrophotography and remote observatories.
