Baader Morpheus 12.5 mm Eyepiece

The Baader Morpheus 12.5 mm eyepiece delivers a true flat 76° apparent field with low distortion and high contrast, keeping stars razor-sharp to the edge. Its long eye relief of 20 mm ensures relaxed viewing, even with glasses. The integrated M43 thread enables photo/video adaptation for both classical and afocal eyepiece projection. Features dual 1.25″ / 2″ barrel with Safety-Kerfs and Phantom Coating® Group for maximum light transmission.

Optical performance

  • Long eye relief (~20 mm): full field visibility, ideal for eyeglass wearers.
  • Low distortion: planetary and lunar features retain shape while drifting across the field.
  • Phantom Coating® Group: advanced multi-coatings for contrast and stray light suppression.

Binoviewing and comfort

  • Optimized for binoviewers: slim 55 mm housing minimizes vignetting.
  • Stable and relaxed viewing with pronounced “floating effect”.
  • Includes M43 folding eyecup and M43 winged eyecup for stray light control.

Photo-visual adaptation

  • M43 thread compatible with T-2 adapters for classical or afocal projection.
  • Works with M43/T-2 adapter ring and M43/SP54 extension (optional).
