Vai al moduloBaader Neodymium Moon & Skyglow IR-Cut Filter – Selective Contrast for Newtonians and SCTs
The Baader Neodymium Moon & Skyglow filter with IR-Cut is Baader Planetarium's selective contrast filter for reflecting telescopes – Newtonians and Schmidt-Cassegrains. It combines neodymium glass with an infrared cut (IR-Cut) and the proprietary Phantom Group Coating for a professional-level observing experience.
It selectively blocks the wavelengths of sodium and mercury vapour lamps and atmospheric skyglow, without suppressing colour visibility or brightness differences. The result is a brighter, more neutral colour with significantly improved RGB: red and blue stand out more, the sky background is darker, and Jupiter's Great Red Spot becomes more visible even from urban skies.
The integrated IR-Cut blocks out-of-focus IR radiation, also optimising the filter for astrophotography with modified DSLRs: stars appear more point-like. Compatible with any eyepiece holder and combinable with other Baader filters.
