The Baader UV/IR-Cut / L Filter 2” (50.8mm) is a visible-light bandpass filter that selectively blocks UV and IR radiation, optimizing chromatic accuracy and image quality for refractors and digital cameras. Particularly suited for refractors, which work optimally in the visible range but don't correct UV and IR – the filter eliminates chromatic halos.
Also essential in astrophotography with CCD cameras and modified DSLRs. Usable as an L (Luminance) filter in LRGB setups with mono cameras. Phantom Group Coating multilayer treatment.
