The Leica Ultravid 10x32 HD-Plus brings the flagship technologies of the Ultravid range — fluorite lenses, ADC™, P40 + HLS™ — into an extraordinarily compact format: just 565 g in a 116×120×56 mm body. It is the ideal binocular for those seeking top-tier optical performance without weight penalties: perfect for long mountain hikes, birdwatching in challenging terrain and travel where every gram counts. The minimum focus distance of approx. 2 m is exceptional for a 10x binocular, enabling close-range observation of insects, flowers and small birds without changing instruments.
Fluorite Lenses and HDC® + AquaDura® Coatings
Like the entire Ultravid HD-Plus range, the 10x32 uses pure fluorite lenses, the optical material with the lowest dispersion coefficient available in nature: images free of colour fringing, with exceptional contrast and tonal fidelity at any magnification and light condition. The HDC® multi-layer coating maximises light transmission across all surfaces, while the hydrophobic AquaDura® treatment on outer lenses repels water and dirt to keep images sharp even in rain.
Prism System P40 + HLS™ and ADC™
The roof prism system with P40 phase correction and HighLux-System HLS™ maximises internal reflection and chromatic coherence across the entire visible spectrum. The exclusive ADC™ (Automatic Diopter Compensation) system automatically balances dioptre compensation, eliminating frequent manual adjustments during extended sessions.
Field of View and Eye Comfort
With a real field of view of 6.7° (118 m at 1,000 m), the 10x32 offers a wide panorama for its magnification level. The 13.2 mm eye relief and removable eyecups with 4 click stops ensure adequate viewing comfort even for spectacle wearers. The interpupillary range (52–74 mm) adapts to any face shape.
Construction and Waterproofing
The magnesium body with nitrogen filling is waterproof to 5 m depth: it can be submerged without risk, ideal for marine environments, heavy rain or extreme conditions. The tripod mount (adapter LE42220, available separately) enables stationary observation sessions. Supplied with: shaped neoprene strap, front lens caps, eyepiece caps, Cordura bag.
