Vai al moduloLeica Ultravid 12x50 HD-Plus: the 12x50 fluorite binocular for maximum detail on a tripod
The Leica Ultravid 12x50 HD-Plus is the highest-magnification model in the Ultravid 50 range: 12x with a 50 mm objective in pure fluorite, designed for those who demand maximum resolving power on distant subjects. With a twilight factor of 24.5 — the highest in the entire Ultravid range — it resolves fine details that lower-magnification models cannot, even in low-light conditions. The 4.2 mm exit pupil delivers bright images in daylight and crepuscular conditions. At ca. 1,040 g for 120×182×78 mm, it is designed for stationary tripod use: long-distance wildlife observation, hide-based birdwatching, binocular astronomy, maritime surveillance and ballistic observation. 12x magnification is the reference for those who cannot afford to miss any detail.
Twilight factor 24.5 and fluorite: the highest resolving power in the range
In the Ultravid 50 series, twilight factor scales with magnification: 20.0 for the 8x, 22.4 for the 10x, 24.5 for the 12x. The 12x50 is therefore the model with the highest twilight resolving power in the entire line. The pure fluorite lenses virtually eliminate secondary chromatic aberration: at 12x, where every optical imperfection is amplified, fluorite guarantees colour-fringe-free images with exceptional contrast and edge-to-edge sharpness. HDC® multi-layer coating maximises light transmission; AquaDura® provides hydrophobic and oleophobic protection on outer lenses.
P40 + HLS™, ADC™ and 5.7° Field of View
The roof prism system with P40 phase correction and HighLux-System HLS™ maximises internal reflectance and phase coherence in the 400–700 nm range: at 12x, prism coating quality is decisive in preserving the theoretical resolution of the 50 mm objective. ADC™ automatically compensates inter-ocular dioptre asymmetry, enabling extended stationary sessions without recalibration. The 5.7° field of view (100 m at 1,000 m) is suited for tripod use and allows precise framing of subjects. Minimum focus approx. 3.2 m.
Magnesium body, waterproof to 5 m, optimised for tripod use
The magnesium body with nitrogen purge is waterproof to 5 m depth, suited to marine environments, heavy rain and high humidity. The weight of ca. 1,040 g for 120×182×78 mm and the centre of gravity are optimised for tripod mounting via adapter LE42220 (available separately), ideal for binocular astronomy, hide-based birding and maritime observation. Removable eyecups with 4 click stops and 13 mm eye relief deliver the full field even for spectacle wearers. Continuous interpupillary adjustment 58–75 mm. Supplied with: shaped neoprene strap, eyepiece cap, front lens cover, Cordura bag.
