Vai al moduloLeica Ultravid 8x50 HD-Plus: the 8x50 fluorite binocular for low-light and night observation
The Leica Ultravid 8x50 HD-Plus is the Ultravid model optimised for maximum performance in critical lighting conditions. With a 6.2 mm exit pupil — the largest in the entire Ultravid 50 line — and a twilight factor of 20.0, it maximises luminous flux per eye at sunset, during the blue hour and for night observations. The 8x magnification offers, compared to the 10x50 model, greater hand-held image stability and a wider field of view (117 m at 1,000 m), making subject acquisition easier even in reduced visibility. The pure fluorite lenses virtually eliminate secondary chromatic aberration and deliver maximum tonal fidelity, even under intense backlighting. At ca. 1,000 g and 120×182×68 mm, it is designed for stationary sessions on a tripod or from a fixed observation post.
Fluorite and 6.2 mm exit pupil: the highest luminous flux per eye in the Ultravid range
In the Ultravid 50 series, exit pupil scales with magnification: 6.2 mm for the 8x, 5.0 mm for the 10x, 4.2 mm for the 12x. The 8x50 is therefore the model with the highest luminous flux per eye in the entire range. In low-light conditions where the pupil dilates to 6–7 mm, the 8x50 delivers a noticeably brighter and more comfortable image than the higher-magnification models. The pure fluorite optical system ensures chromatic coherence and freedom from aberration across the full field of view. HDC® multi-layer coating on all surfaces; AquaDura® hydrophobic and oleophobic protection on outer lenses.
P40 + HLS™, ADC™ and 6.7° Field of View
The roof prism system with P40 phase correction and HighLux-System HLS™ maximises internal reflectance and phase coherence in the 400–700 nm range: critical in a low-light binocular where every transmitted photon matters. ADC™ automatically compensates inter-ocular dioptre asymmetry, eliminating the need for recalibration during extended sessions. The 6.7° field of view (117 m at 1,000 m) enables rapid subject location even in reduced visibility. The 17 mm eye relief and removable eyecups with 4 click stops deliver the full field even for spectacle wearers. Minimum focus approx. 3.5 m.
Magnesium body, waterproof to 5 m, tripod-ready
The magnesium body with nitrogen purge is waterproof to 5 m depth and suited to marine environments, heavy rain and high humidity. The balanced weight of ca. 1,000 g for 120×182×68 mm is optimised for stationary tripod use via adapter LE42220 (available separately), ideal for binocular astronomy, hide-based birdwatching and marine observation. Continuous interpupillary adjustment 58–74 mm. Supplied with: shaped neoprene strap, eyepiece cap, front lens cover, Cordura bag.
