The Celestron RASA 11" V2 places the imaging sensor at the front of the tube, creating an ultra-fast f/2.2 system with an extremely wide field of view. This design allows for much shorter exposure times than a traditional f/10 system without sacrificing resolution: in many cases autoguiding isn't even needed.
The 4-element low-dispersion glass optical group eliminates false colour, coma and field curvature, with an optimised 43.3mm image circle that keeps pinpoint stars right into the corners of the largest sensors. The new Ultra-Stable Focus System (USFS), built around a precision linear bearing, minimises focus shift and mirror flop. An integrated 12V MagLev fan reduces cooldown time and ensures optimal airflow through the dust-filtered tube. Includes 42mm T-thread and 48mm M48 camera adapters for direct attachment to CCD and DSLR cameras.
