Wratten Filters for Planetary Observation
The Wratten colour filters included in the Celestron 94303 kit are calibrated optical tools designed to enhance specific details in planetary and lunar observations:
- Filter #80A (blue) — highlights Jupiter's Great Red Spot and equatorial bands
- Filter #21 (orange) — reduces sky background brightness for daytime observation of Venus
- Filter #25 (red) — increases contrast on Mars's polar caps and surface features
- Filter #58A (green) — enhances atmospheric cloud structures on Jupiter and Saturn
- Filter #12 (yellow) — improves contrast of Jupiter's dark bands and Mars's polar regions

Compatibility
The Celestron 94303 kit is compatible with all refractor, Newtonian reflector, and Schmidt-Cassegrain (SCT) telescopes fitted with a 31.8 mm (1¼") focuser: Celestron, Sky-Watcher, Meade, Bresser, and any other brand using the standard 31.8 mm barrel.
