The Celestron 9x50 RACI (Right Angle Correct Image) finder scope is a high-quality upgrade designed to improve object locating and telescope alignment. Featuring a 90° angled eyepiece with a correctly oriented image, it provides a comfortable viewing position and an intuitive field of view.
With its 50 mm aperture, this premium finder delivers bright and sharp images. The 9x magnification combined with an approximate 5° apparent field of view allows easy star hopping and accurate centering of celestial objects, making it a superior choice over standard finders supplied with many telescopes.
Ergonomic design and optical performance
The 90° RACI configuration ensures a more natural and relaxed observing position, especially when aiming close to the zenith. The eyepiece is rotatable, allowing flexible positioning based on your setup. The achromatic doublet optics with multi-coated lenses minimize optical aberrations and enhance contrast and clarity.
Precision reticle and mounting system
The eyepiece features a dual crosshair etched reticle for accurate alignment and target centering. The reticle focus is adjustable independently from the objective focus, enabling fine tuning for optimal visibility. The finder is mounted on a quick-release dual-ring bracket with integrated dovetail base, compatible with most Celestron SCT and EdgeHD optical tubes.
Large adjustment screws allow precise collimation of the finder relative to the main telescope optical axis. The alignment remains stable even after removing and reinstalling the finder thanks to the secure bracket design. The eyepiece is also ready for an optional illuminated reticle (M8x1.25 thread), useful for low-light observing sessions.
