The aluminium dew shield fits Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain and EdgeHD optical tubes at 9.25". It reduces radiative cooling of the Schmidt corrector lens, keeping it above the dew point for longer and preventing dew formation on the lens. It also noticeably increases image contrast by keeping stray light from entering the telescope.
The shield is made of aluminium: rigid, it won't deform, bend, or crease, and is lined internally with velvet to absorb stray light and moisture. Includes two adjustable clips for a perfect fit and an aluminium front protective cap.
