The Celestron 31.8 mm Eyepiece and Filter Kit is a complete set of optical accessories designed to expand the capabilities of your telescope. It includes two eyepieces, a 2x Barlow lens, three color filters for lunar and planetary observation, a microfiber cleaning cloth, and a durable plastic carry case with protective foam to safely store and transport all components.
This Celestron entry-level kit has been developed to enhance the performance and enjoyment of beginner telescopes, providing everything needed to explore the Moon, planets, double stars, and the brightest deep-sky objects in greater detail. The included 2x Barlow lens doubles the magnification of each eyepiece, offering up to four different magnification options.
The color filters bring out planetary details: the blue filter (Wratten #80A) enhances the Great Red Spot on Jupiter, while the red filter (Wratten #25) darkens the sky background to make it easier to observe Venus during daylight. The lunar filter reduces brightness and increases contrast, improving visibility of craters and fine surface details.
The sturdy Celestron case with precision-cut foam protects all components from impact and scratches, while the included microfiber cloth allows for safe and effective cleaning of optical surfaces. The kit is compatible with all telescopes that accept 31.8 mm (1.25") eyepieces and filters.
