The Celestron CGEM II 1100 is the flagship of the CGEM II Schmidt-Cassegrain line: even though the 280mm optical tube weighs only 12.4 kg, it remains portable enough to take to dark skies, delivering 89% more light-gathering power than an 8" and over 40% more than a 9.25". A serious platform for long-exposure imaging with CCD cameras or DSLRs too.
