The Celestron CPC 800 Deluxe HD is a 203 mm f/10 EdgeHD Schmidt-Cassegrain aplanatic telescope, equipped with a computerized altazimuth fork mount and integrated GPS. Combining compact design, outstanding optical quality, and a robust mechanical structure, it is ideal for both high-quality visual observations and demanding astrophotography.
The fork mount is stable and reliable, perfect for long-exposure astrophotography as it eliminates meridian flip issues. The SkyAlign™ system enables quick alignment without the need to identify alignment stars, while the integrated GPS automatically sets date, time, and location. The 40,000-object database offers a vast selection of targets for observation or imaging.
At the heart of the CPC 800 Deluxe HD lies the renowned C8 EdgeHD, combining the compact design of Schmidt-Cassegrain systems with astrograph-grade field correction. EdgeHD optics deliver pinpoint star images all the way to the edge of the field—whether used visually with ultra-wide 2" eyepieces or photographically with CCD or DSLR cameras, even in full-frame format. The flat focal plane ensures consistent sharpness across the entire image.
Thanks to the XLT multi-coating, light transmission is maximized, enhancing brightness and contrast for planets, galaxies, and nebulae. The optical system is Fastar-compatible and features a primary mirror lock and micro-filtered side vents for faster thermal equilibrium.
