The Celestron CPC 925 Deluxe HD is an aplanatic Schmidt-Cassegrain EdgeHD telescope with 235 mm aperture and f/10, featuring a computerized altazimuth fork mount and integrated GPS. It combines high-level optical performance with an extremely robust and user-friendly design – perfect for both visual observation and demanding astrophotography.
The EdgeHD optical tube and fork mount are permanently attached, providing exceptional stability while remaining easy to transport. Thanks to the SkyAlign™ system, the telescope can be set up and aligned in just minutes, without the need to identify alignment stars. The built-in GPS automatically sets date, time, and location, while the database of 40,000 objects offers a vast selection for observation or imaging.
The fork mount is particularly advantageous for long-exposure astrophotography, as it avoids meridian flip issues. The redesigned electronics ensure stable power delivery to the motors, allowing for accurate tracking and precise pointing, even when the instrument is not perfectly balanced.
EdgeHD Optical Performance
At the heart of the CPC 925 Deluxe HD is the C9.25 EdgeHD, which combines the compactness of Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes with astrograph-level field correction. Images remain sharp and free of aberrations across the entire field of view – both for visual observation with 2" ultra-wide-angle eyepieces and for astrophotography with full-frame CCD or DSLR cameras.
The XLT multi-coating maximizes light transmission, providing high brightness and contrast for planets, galaxies, and nebulae. EdgeHD optics are Fastar-compatible, equipped with a primary mirror lock and micro-filtered side vents to speed up thermal equilibrium.
