The Celestron Smart DewHeater Controller 2X extends battery life by optimising power usage for up to two thermistors or dew heater rings. The controller gathers and analyses information in real time to warm your optics just enough to prevent dew formation.
Equipped with two ports to control up to two dew-prevention systems simultaneously: one port can heat the optical tube while the other heats a second tube, a guide scope, an eyepiece, or another accessory. It also features an additional 12V DC output port to power another device, such as your mount.
Works with Celestron dew heater rings that have a built-in thermistor; third-party bands are also compatible (with a Celestron thermistor sold separately). Can be used standalone or through the NexStar+/StarSense hand control or Celestron CPWI control software. Rugged metal housing with a built-in cooling fan; mounts conveniently on a CGE or CG-5 style dovetail bar, or on a tripod leg using the included strap.
