The Celestron 1.25" Moon Filter is designed to effectively reduce the Moon’s intense brightness while enhancing overall contrast. It is fully compatible with all 1.25" (31.8 mm) eyepieces and provides more comfortable, detailed lunar observations.
Improved lunar contrast
During bright lunar phases, excessive glare can wash out surface details and cause visual fatigue. This filter attenuates incoming light in a controlled manner, improving the visibility of craters, maria and fine surface structures.
Approved applications
In addition to lunar observation, the filter can also be used for observing Venus and for very bright terrestrial scenes, where reducing light intensity helps improve image contrast.
Important notice
This filter is not a solar filter and must never be used for direct solar observation. Improper use may result in serious and permanent eye damage.
