The Celestron NexStar 5 SE is a compact 125mm f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain catadioptric telescope paired with the computerised single-arm alt-azimuth GO-TO NexStar SE mount. The NexStar SE series combines Celestron’s excellent XLT multi-coated optics with the convenience and advanced technology of the single-arm NexStar SE mounts, featuring automatic pointing, web-upgradeable hand control and SkyAlign™ alignment system. Suitable for visual astronomy and terrestrial observation, as well as photography with DSLR, mirrorless, compact cameras and webcams.
SkyAlign technology and celestial database
The SkyAlign system allows alignment in just a few minutes by simply pointing at any three bright stars — no knowledge of the sky required. The internet-upgradeable NexStar+ hand control manages a database of over 40,000 celestial objects with automatic tracking. The single-arm mount features a universal dovetail platform, also compatible with other optical tubes.
