The Celestron NexStar Evolution 6 is a 150 mm (6″) f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with XLT coatings, mounted on the revolutionary single-arm computerised altazimuth NexStar Evolution mount with integrated Wi-Fi. It can be controlled directly from a smartphone, tablet or phablet (iOS and Android) without any cables: the NexStar Evolution series represents the absolute technological pinnacle of Celestron computerised telescopes.
The Celestron SkyPortal app provides complete control with a simple tap and sky exploration through over 120,000 objects in the NexStar database, including the 220 most beautiful objects in the sky. The integrated rechargeable lithium-ion battery ensures continuous operation for over 10 hours, eliminating dependence on mains cables in the field. The built-in USB charging port keeps your mobile device charged throughout sessions.
The steel tripod features an accessory tray with holes for 1.25” and 2” eyepieces, a flat surface for filters and adapters, and a red LED light on the top to select accessories without ruining dark adaptation. The tray allows the tripod to be folded without disassembly, saving time and effort in the field.
