Vai al moduloNext-Generation Battery for Computerized Telescopes
The Celestron Power Tank Lithium LT is a modern power solution based on advanced Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide (LiNiMnCoO₂) chemistry, specifically designed to meet the electrical requirements of computerized astronomical telescopes. This technology delivers a stable and consistent voltage output over extended periods while significantly reducing the limitations of traditional batteries.
Stabilized Voltage to Protect Telescope Electronics
Unlike many lithium-ion batteries in this price range, the Power Tank Lithium LT features an integrated voltage regulator that maintains a minimum output of 11.8 V for most of the discharge cycle. This is essential to prevent motor errors and electronic malfunctions in GoTo telescopes, which are highly sensitive to voltage drops.
Reliable Performance During Long Observing Sessions
Many competing batteries advertise high watt-hour capacity but suffer from rapid voltage drop during use. The Celestron Power Tank Lithium LT is engineered to provide a stable 12V output until the battery is fully depleted, ensuring consistent performance throughout long observing and imaging sessions.
Advanced Cell Chemistry, Safety and Long Service Life
LiNiMnCoO₂ chemistry offers multiple advantages over conventional LiCoO₂ and lead-acid batteries, including longer shelf life, up to three times more charge cycles, and enhanced safety. Built-in protections include overcharge, over-discharge, reverse polarity, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection, along with an automatic shut-off function.
Simultaneous Power for Telescopes and USB Devices
The Power Tank Lithium LT provides two dedicated outputs: a stabilized 12V DC output for telescope power and a 5V / 2.1A USB output for fast charging smartphones, tablets, or USB-powered astronomical accessories. This allows an entire observing setup to be powered from a single compact energy source.
