Vai al moduloThe Celestron f/6.3 Reducer/Corrector (item 94175) is the reference optical accessory for astrophotography with Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. Its 4-element optical design combines a focal reducer, field flattener and coma corrector in a single unit, turning any Celestron SCT from 5″ to 14″ into a dual-focal-length instrument of outstanding versatility, without compromising image quality.
Focal Reduction and Increased Luminosity
Mounted on the C5, C6, C8, C9¼ and C11, the reducer brings the native focal ratio down to f/6.3; on the C14 it achieves f/7. The 0.63× reduction factor increases the photographic speed, cutting exposure times by a factor of 3 compared to the native focus — a decisive advantage in deep-sky imaging sessions where every minute of exposure matters.
4-Element Optical Design and Broadband Multi-Coating
The 4-element optical design simultaneously corrects coma, field curvature and residual spherical aberration of the SCT optics. Broadband multi-layer coatings maximize light transmission across the full visible spectrum, preserving contrast in both broadband and narrowband imaging sessions.
Wider Field for Every Celestial Object
The shorter equivalent focal length widens the field of view with any sensor — from small planetary CMOS imagers to full-frame DSLRs — making it more efficient to capture extended nebulae, open clusters and spiral galaxies that require a larger angular field.
Universal Connection to All Celestron SCTs
The reducer/corrector threads directly onto the rear port of all Celestron SCTs via 2"-24 M/F threads on both sides, with a telescope-side T2 (M42 × 0.75) connection. Note: the 94175 is not optically compatible with Celestron Edge HD systems; use the dedicated 0.7× reducer for those instruments.
