The Celestron Universal T-Adapter with integrated 2x Barlow lens allows DSLR or SLR cameras to be attached to telescopes equipped with a 31.8 mm (1.25″) eyepiece holder. The built-in 2x Barlow lens provides increased magnification and enables high-quality astrophotography and video capture at the telescope’s prime focus.
This universal T-Adapter is designed for use with a T2 (T-Ring) to connect the camera body to the telescope. Thanks to the integrated achromatic 2x Barlow lens, the focal plane is extended, allowing smaller Newtonian telescopes (114 mm, 130 mm) to reach focus more easily.
The adapter can also be used for visual observing, functioning as a standard 2x Barlow lens for 1.25″ eyepieces. Some vignetting (light fall-off at the image edges) may occur when using full-frame DSLR cameras.
