The Celestron 94107 variable polarizing filter is the ideal accessory for anyone who wants precise control over the brightness of celestial objects without altering their colour. Unlike fixed lunar filters or neutral density filters, this filter provides continuous, stepless adjustment of light absorption between 1% and 40%: simply rotate the lower ring and the image brightens or dims in real time.

Why choose a variable polarizing filter?

The Moon is the object that benefits most from this filter: by reducing the brightness, details of craters, ridges and valleys become far more pronounced and defined. But its usefulness goes well beyond lunar observation:
