The Celestron X-Cel LX 7mm is a super wide-angle 6-element eyepiece with a flat-field superwide optical design, specifically engineered for high magnification observation of the Moon, planets and double stars. With an apparent field of view of 60° and an eye relief of 16mm, it delivers comfortable and immersive viewing even at short focal lengths — a notable result at this magnification range.
The rubber coating ensures a secure grip even in cold and humid conditions. The height-adjustable eyecups with helical mechanism adapt easily to any observer, including spectacle wearers. The multi-layer anti-reflection coating on all 6 optical elements maximises light transmission, delivering sharp, high-contrast and detail-rich images. The parfocal design with other eyepieces in the X-Cel LX series eliminates the need to refocus when changing eyepieces, making observing sessions smoother and more efficient. The filter-threaded 31.8mm barrel allows direct mounting of standard astronomy filters.
