The Daystar QUARK Prominence is an all-in-one electronic solar eyepiece that converts any refractor into an H-Alpha solar telescope optimized for solar prominence viewing. Insert it into your diagonal or focuser, connect USB power, warm it up and start observing.
The Prominence version uses a wider bandpass — typically 0.6 – 0.8 Å — which increases the brightness of prominences projected against the dark sky at the solar limb, making them visible with excellent contrast and detail. Solar surface features remain visible as well.

ERF filter: when is it needed?
No additional filter is required for refractors up to ~80 mm. A UV/IR cut filter in front of the diagonal is sufficient for 80–130 mm apertures. For refractors over 130 mm, reflectors or extended sessions, a front-mounted ERF is recommended.
