A 90mm catadioptric optic for deep-sky imaging
The DwarfLab Draco SHO features the same 90mm catadioptric optical system (340mm focal length, f/3.8) as the Standard version, with an added filter set designed for the most demanding astrophotographers. The wide aperture ensures high light-gathering power and resolution, ideal for deep-sky imaging as well as the Moon and planets.
Dual sensor: rotating telephoto and wide-angle
Collected light is projected onto a 1/1.3" CMOS sensor, capable of capturing astronomical subjects with great sharpness and detail. The sensor is physically rotatable, to adapt the framing, horizontal, vertical or diagonal, to the subject. A second 1/1.8" wide-angle camera works alongside it, useful for orienting in the sky and capturing wide regions such as the Milky Way.
SHO filter system for the Hubble palette
Unlike the Standard version, the Draco SHO pairs an external ND solar filter (OD=5) with two dual narrowband filters: Hα+OIII and SII+OIII (half-width 13±3 nm each), alongside the astronomy filter and dark-frame filter already found in the base version. This combination allows the Sulfur (SII), Hydrogen (Hα) and Oxygen (OIII) channels to be captured separately and composited according to the so-called Hubble palette, the processing technique used for the famous false-colour images of emission nebulae.
Built-in guiding for exposures up to 300 seconds
The built-in guidescope ensures precise tracking, with single exposures of up to 300 seconds in both Alt-Az and EQ mode, for longer, more precise tracking in deep-sky and narrowband nebula photography.
Cooled sensor, storage and battery life
Active sensor cooling reduces thermal noise during long exposures, while the heat generated is reused to warm the optics and prevent fogging on cold or humid nights. The IP56 rating protects the telescope from dust and water jets. Images are saved to 128 GB of internal storage and transferred via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC or USB-C cable, which also charges the 10,000 mAh (77 Wh) battery, for about 5 hours of use.

While the Standard version is the right choice for most users, the Draco SHO is designed for those who want to go further, into narrowband imaging and capturing emission nebulae in the Hubble palette, without giving up the practicality and automation typical of DwarfLab smart telescopes.
