Vai al moduloComputerised Equatorial Mount for Astrophotography and Advanced Observation
The Celestron Advanced VX (AVX) is a computerised German equatorial mount designed specifically to deliver optimal performance in the field of astrophotography with small telescopes. With a maximum payload capacity of 14 kg, it supports a wide range of optical tubes while providing the tracking precision required for long-exposure imaging. A 220V mains power supply with European plug is included in the box.
Compared to the previous generation, the AVX features a significantly larger base plate that improves stability under heavy loads, along with upgraded motors with greater torque, capable of handling slight imbalances in the optical load with ease. Thanks to the RTC module with buffer battery, the mount retains alignment data even after being switched off, eliminating the need to realign at every observing session.
All-Star Polar Alignment and Meridian Management
One of the most appreciated features of the AVX is the All-Star Polar Alignment system, which allows precise polar alignment to be achieved even without direct visibility of the Pole Star — particularly useful in permanent observatories or urban settings. The mount also allows imaging across the meridian without performing a meridian flip, avoiding interruptions during longer imaging sessions.
Periodic Error Correction and Autoguiding
The AVX is equipped with an autoguider port and the PPEC module (Permanent Periodic Error Correction), which allows the periodic error correction of the motors to be programmed and stored. This results in more precise and consistent tracking during long exposures, reducing the need for continuous manual corrections.
NexStar+ Hand Controller and 40,000-Object Database
The mount is controlled via the NexStar+ hand controller, updateable via the internet, featuring a database of 40,000 celestial objects and 9 selectable slew speeds. Available alignment modes are 2-Star Align, 1-Star Align and Solar System Align, with tracking selectable between sidereal, solar, lunar and off. Communication with external software is provided by 2 AUX ports and the autoguider port, with compatibility with NexRemote software.
