Vai al moduloThe Geoptik Hercules 95 is a professional astronomical tripod designed to provide high stability, strong load capacity and effective vibration damping during astronomical observations and astrophotography sessions. Built from selected beech wood treated for outdoor use, this tripod combines structural strength with excellent vibration absorption, a key factor when supporting medium to large equatorial mounts.
The Hercules series is engineered to offer a solid and reliable base for demanding astronomical setups while maintaining mechanical rigidity even with heavy instruments installed.
The tripod features an upper mounting plate machined from solid material, precisely finished using CNC machines and then anodized to improve durability and resistance over time. This design ensures high mechanical precision and reliable support for astronomical mounts.
The plate allows installation of several mounts including GK300, EQ6, Atlas, 10Micron 1000, Avalon and G41. With dedicated adapters it is also compatible with Losmandy GM8, Losmandy G11 (#30H150) and HEQ5 (#30A230).
The tripod legs are made from first-choice beech wood, treated for outdoor durability. This material was selected for its structural stability and natural vibration damping properties, characteristics particularly appreciated in astronomical equipment supports.
Thanks to this construction, the tripod can support heavy astronomical equipment while maintaining a rigid and stable platform.
The tripod height can be adjusted through aluminum end terminals, allowing a working height from 950 mm to 1100 mm. This reversible extension provides the option of using either rubber feet or metal spikes, adapting the tripod to different ground surfaces and observing environments.
The central tray, made of laminated beech wood, also serves as an eyepiece holder. It includes 5 holes for 31.8 mm eyepieces and 3 holes for 50.8 mm eyepieces. A recessed compartment is also included to store small accessories such as screws or filters while observing.
Additional holes on the tripod legs allow storage for 3 extra 31.8 mm eyepieces and 3 additional 50.8 mm eyepieces.
The tripod legs are secured to the upper plate using adjustment locking screws, allowing precise tightening and ensuring excellent structural stability when supporting heavy astronomical mounts and telescopes.
