The problem all other collimators ignore

Any standard laser collimator inserted into a telescope focuser suffers from a structural flaw: the focuser clamp screw, pressing on one side only, pushes the collimator body off the optical axis. The result is a laser beam that does not align with the telescope axis. The Hotech SCA-125C solves this with SCA (Self-Centering Adapter) technology: an internal rubber membrane that, when the locking ring is turned, expands uniformly in all directions and centers the collimator body precisely on the focuser axis.

Crosshair model: crosshair for primary and secondary mirrors

The Crosshair model adds 4 reference lines forming a crosshair to the classic red laser dot. This enables more precise centering of both the secondary mirror and the primary mirror on the 45° target plate — especially when the telescope is severely decollimated. The 45° target plate with laser-etched grid is included as standard.
