The iOptron SkyTracker Pro is a compact and portable star tracker designed for astrophotographers who want to shoot the night sky while travelling, hiking or at any remote location. With a 3 kg payload, an internal rechargeable 24-hour battery and an illuminated polar scope with adjustable brightness, the SkyTracker Pro is the ideal companion for focal lengths up to 400 mm.
Tracking Speeds and Modes
The SkyTracker Pro offers 4 tracking speeds: sidereal, solar, lunar and sidereal 0.5x. The 0.5x mode is ideal for landscape astrophotography: with a 12 mm wide-angle lens it allows exposures of up to nearly 2 minutes without star trails or landscape blur. The N/S selector ensures compatibility with both hemispheres.
Polar Alignment with the iOptron App
The illuminated polar scope pairs with the free iOptron app for iOS and Android, showing the real-time position of Polaris in the reticle for fast, accurate polar alignment in minutes.
Mounting and Tripod Compatibility
Mounts on any photo tripod via 3/8" thread, supports ball heads with 1/4" thread. Not compatible with tripods without a removable azimuth adjustment pin (e.g. EQ5/HEQ5).
