Vai al moduloKowa TSN-602 – Ultra-compact straight spotting scope (body only)
The Kowa TSN-602 is an ultra-compact, very light spotting scope with a straight body, sold as body only (eyepiece not included). If you are looking for a spotting scope with unbeatable value for money, great versatility and plenty of potential, the TSN-600 is the right choice.
Rugged and waterproof
The polycarbonate body is sealed and filled with nitrogen gas, so it is suitable even for the harshest conditions. Damp environments such as woods, bogs, streams or lakes can be tackled without worry (not for underwater use). Technologies, some of them patented, such as Kowa Repelling (KR) and 100% waterproofing of the body, are also found in Kowa's entry-level products.
The eyepiece and objective have the KR treatment, which blocks grease, liquids and dirt on the lens surface and makes cleaning much simpler and quicker: a feature usually reserved for more expensive scopes. The nitrogen filling also prevents fogging and protects the optical groups.
Optical quality
Images are bright and well defined. Chromatic aberration, despite the classic non-XD optical glass, is less intrusive than you might expect. Sharpness is surprising for an objective of only 60mm, and colour rendition is good even with a simple achromatic objective.
Lightweight and compatible eyepieces
Its weight of only 720 grams (body only) makes this spotting scope unique: in this price range it is hard to find instruments that are as light, precise and well made.
Compatible with the KW-TSE-14WD (30x) and KW-TSE-Z9B (20x-60x zoom) eyepieces. See the individual eyepiece pages for more information.
