The premium leather covering with the characteristic diamond pattern of the legendary Leica cameras gives the instrument a timeless elegance and superior everyday durability.
HDC® precision optics with 90% light transmission
The 25mm objective with HDC® multi-layer coating delivers sharp, high-contrast images with natural colours in any lighting condition. The roof prism system with phase correction coating P40 and HighLux-System HLS® ensures 90% light transmission for bright, detailed views from daylight to dusk. The 8x magnification with a 120 m field of view at 1,000 m provides stable, bright images — ideal for observing architecture, live performances and nature subjects.
Included close-up lens for near observation down to 25 cm
The Leica Monovid 8x25 comes with a close-up lens that screws directly onto the objective. With this accessory, objects at just 25–30 cm can be observed with extreme sharpness, similar to a high-magnification magnifying glass. Particularly useful for examining flowers, works of art, stamps, printed texts and architectural details. The internal focusing system with dioptre adjustment ensures precise adaptation for eyeglass wearers as well.
