Nature observation with a telescope is not difficult – it's actually simple. With this Amici prism you get not only upright and laterally correct images, but also a sharpness and brightness that most ordinary prisms cannot match. This is made possible by a high-transmission prism with anti-reflection coating on all optical surfaces.
This prism attaches easily to the focuser of a refractor, Maksutov, or SCT telescope, instantly turning your instrument into a powerful device for nature observation. Since objects in nature are usually on a horizontal plane, the 45° angle allows a natural posture for extended observation sessions.
The heart of the Omegon Amici prism is a BK7 glass prism with full multi-layer anti-reflection coating, delivering bright and colour-accurate images. Resolution and fine detail recognition are also improved as a result.
Eyepieces are secured not only by a side thumbscrew but also by a gentle ring clamp, which provides:
