Vai al moduloThe MiniTrack LX Quattro NS is the complete redesign of the MiniTrack star tracker: a fully mechanical mechanism with no batteries, rebuilt from the ground up to carry cameras and telephoto lenses up to 4 kg in weight, with the option of being converted for use in the southern hemisphere (hence the NS designation, North-South).
Needle bearing and one-piece body
Compared to previous versions, the Quattro introduces an integrated needle bearing that makes the tracking movement smoother and more precise, plus a body machined from a single block of CNC aluminium, more robust and durable over time. The spring system, stronger than the LX3's, reliably supports even unbalanced loads.
Built-in GP mount, no extra dovetail needed
The MiniTrack Quattro NS integrates a Vixen GP-style mount directly into the body, so it can be fitted to an equatorial head without needing a separate dovetail bar. The classic 1/4" and 3/8" threads for photo tripod and ball head are still available.
Ready for both hemispheres
The package includes a dedicated insert for the southern hemisphere, plus the optical polar scope and its mounting bracket: switching between the two hemispheres is straightforward and requires no additional accessories.
Made in Portugal
The MiniTrack was invented by Italian amateur astronomer Cristian Fattinnanzi and technically developed by Omegon; this Quattro generation is fully assembled and tested in Portugal.
