The Optolong L-eXtreme 2" filter (M48x0.75 – 50.8mm) is a dual band narrowband filter designed for deep-sky astrophotography. It isolates the key nebula emission lines H-Alpha (656nm) and OIII (500nm), including H-Beta, offering excellent suppression of light pollution thanks to its 7nm narrow bandwidth. This makes it ideal for imaging under urban or suburban skies.
Developed as an evolution of the well-known Optolong L-eNhance filter, the L-eXtreme is a practical solution for astrophotographers who want high-contrast results without investing in a monochrome camera and filter wheel. It performs exceptionally well with color CMOS cameras, DSLRs, and CCD cameras (mono or color).
