The Optolong L-Pro Clip filter for Canon EOS R is the clip-in version of the L-Pro filter, designed for Canon EOS R, RA and RP full-frame mirrorless cameras. It installs directly inside the camera body, in front of the sensor, removing the need for filters on every single lens and allowing the use of any Canon RF lens without vignetting.
It improves the contrast of deep-sky objects and dampens the sky background thanks to a complex transmission characteristic that lets through the emission lines of celestial objects while suppressing the main sources of light pollution. It blocks UV and IR (700–1100nm) with high passband transmission and minimal impact on color rendition, making it suitable both for emission nebulae and continuum sources such as galaxies and globular clusters. Allows exposures up to about 3 times longer compared to shots without the filter.
