The Optolong L-Pro Clip filter for Nikon Full Frame is the clip-in version of the L-Pro filter, designed to fit directly inside Nikon DSLRs with full-frame sensors, in front of the sensor. This solution removes the need for filters on every lens and allows the use of any lens without vignetting.
Thanks to a sophisticated transmission characteristic, it lets through light from the main deep-sky object emission lines (H-Alpha, OIII, N-II, H-Beta, S-II) while blocking harmful emissions such as the mercury line and sodium vapor lighting wavelengths, also reducing the background brightness caused by atmospheric oxygen ("skyglow"). Being a multi-bandpass filter, it has only minimal impact on color rendition, making it also suitable for photographing galaxies, star clusters and reflection nebulae, with exposures up to 3 times longer compared to shots without the filter.
Warning – compatibility: this filter is intended for specific Nikon Full Frame camera bodies (e.g. D600/610, D700/750, D800/800E, D810/810A, Df). On some Nikon DSLRs (e.g. D850, D810, D750) the clip filter may protrude excessively into the camera body: always check compatibility with your model before purchasing.
