The Pentax SMC Zoom 20–60× eyepiece is a high-performance accessory for astronomical telescopes and spotting scopes, designed to deliver versatility, clarity, and color fidelity. Its waterproof construction (JIS Class 6) ensures reliability outdoors, even in rain or high humidity.
The fully multi-coated Pentax SMC optics maximize light transmission while reducing glare and ghost images. Lanthanum glass elements with a high refractive index and low dispersion provide high-resolution images with minimal aberrations. Advanced computer-aided optical design uses internal diaphragms to suppress reflections, enhancing image brightness and contrast.
With an apparent field of view ranging from 38° to 60° across the zoom range and a comfortable 20 mm eye relief, this eyepiece delivers clear and immersive views even during extended observation sessions. A rubber eyecup further improves comfort.
Designed for PENTAX spotting scopes and compatible with PF series spotting scopes (except PF-63), it can also be used with astronomical telescopes featuring standard 1.25" focusers, making it ideal for both nature observation and astronomy.
