Combining advanced optics, a wide field of view, and long eye relief, the XW eyepiece delivers outstanding performance for PENTAX spotting scopes as well as astronomical telescopes with 1.25" or 2" focusers.
With a 70° apparent field of view and 20 mm eye relief, the XW provides immersive and comfortable viewing while minimizing blackout effects. Its waterproof construction ensures reliability in all weather conditions.
Featuring lanthanum glass elements with high refractive index and low dispersion, the XW eyepiece produces well-balanced images with minimal aberrations. The original PENTAX multi-coating and special laminated surface treatment achieve over 90% light transmission, reaching an impressive 96% at 550 nm in the visible spectrum.
Using advanced PENTAX computer simulation technology, each XW eyepiece incorporates an internal light-shielding diaphragm strategically placed to reduce internal reflections, delivering brighter and higher-contrast images.
The waterproof construction, rated JIS Class 4, protects the eyepiece against rain and humidity, ensuring reliable use even in demanding conditions. It is compatible with the 31.7 mm U.S. standard barrel and includes a 43 mm/0.75 mm thread for attaching adapters.
