Vai al moduloThe Sky-Watcher EQ5 is a manual German equatorial mount (GEM) with a 10 kg payload capacity, designed for visual observations and introductory astrophotography. Solid, precise, and expandable, it features fine adjustment controls on both axes and is compatible with the vast majority of optical tubes thanks to the standard 45mm EQ5 dovetail saddle. Supplied with an adjustable steel tripod.
Fine Adjustment on Both Axes
The EQ5 features slow-motion control knobs on both axes (RA and Dec), allowing precise manual tracking and corrections during observation without introducing vibrations. The worm and wheel drive ensures smooth, backlash-free movement.
45mm EQ5 Dovetail — Wide Compatibility
The saddle plate accepts 45mm EQ5-standard dovetail bars, a format compatible with the vast majority of optical tubes made for this standard, including Sky-Watcher, Celestron CG5, Meade, and many others.
Expandable — AO6000 Motor Drive and Polar Scope
The EQ5 is prepared for the installation of an optional polar scope, essential for accurate polar alignment in astrophotography, and for the optional dual-axis AO6000 motor drive, which adds automatic tracking on both axes and enables computerised control for long-exposure imaging sessions.
