The Newton 114/900 is a classic of amateur astronomy: its 900mm focal length makes it excellent for high-magnification observation of the brightest solar system objects (Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn) as well as the brightest deep-sky objects such as star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. The EQ1 equatorial mount lets you track objects manually by turning the right ascension knob, or automatically by adding an optional small motor.
