The Sky-Watcher AZ-GTI-X Wi-Fi is a motorized alt-azimuth GoTo mount that combines portability, precision, and full wireless control. Designed for amateur astronomers seeking a lightweight and compact system without compromising performance, it allows complete control of your telescope and astrophotography sessions via the SynScan App for iOS and Android.
Performance and Versatility
Weighing only 2 kg, the AZ-GTI-X offers the perfect balance between stability and portability, ideal for traveling to dark-sky locations. It supports up to 10 kg when using dual optical tubes or 6 kg on a single side. The Vixen-style L-bracket allows simultaneous use of a telescope and a camera — perfect for capturing stunning celestial images while observing visually.
Wi-Fi Control and SynScan App
The mount is fully controllable via Wi-Fi using the SynScan App, which integrates all the functions of the GoTo hand controller: one-, two-, or three-star alignment, a database of over 40,000 celestial objects, and regular updates of maps and ephemerides. Powered by 12V DC (battery or external supply), the Servo DC motors keep stars, galaxies, the Moon, or planets precisely centered in view.
Freedom Find Encoders
The dual Freedom Find encoders allow manual movement of the mount without losing alignment — ideal for observers who enjoy freely exploring the night sky while maintaining tracking accuracy.
