Vai al moduloThe SkyWatcher coma corrector for Newton f/5 is the essential optical accessory for eliminating coma aberrations at the edges of the field of view. Specifically designed for Newtonian reflector telescopes with a focal ratio of f/5, it ensures pinpoint stars from center to edge — for both visual observation and deep-sky astrophotography.
Compatibility and Installation
The corrector fits directly into the 50.8 mm (2") focuser of SkyWatcher Explorer Newton f/5 telescopes equipped with a Crayford or Dual Focuser 2". For photographic use, an M48 adapter ring (not included) is required to connect to the camera.

Astrophotography Without Edge Aberrations
Fast Newtonian telescopes suffer from coma, a geometric aberration that distorts peripheral stars into comet-like shapes. The SkyWatcher corrector solves this by correcting the wavefront across the entire focal plane. The result is a uniform, sharp image on every color channel — ideal for broadband imaging with cooled CMOS cameras or modified DSLRs on targets such as nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters.
Who It’s For
Recommended for astrophotographers using Newton f/5 telescopes who want to improve deep-sky imaging. Particularly effective with medium to large sensors like ZWO ASI, QHY, or DSLRs. Also useful for visual wide-field observation with 2" eyepieces such as Nagler or Ethos.
