The Sky-Watcher Nomad 5x APO Barlow lens is a high-magnification apochromatic Barlow designed for planetary imaging and high-resolution lunar observation. The 4-element optical system with ED low-dispersion glass multiplies the effective focal length of the telescope by 5x, virtually eliminating chromatic aberration.
4-Element Apochromatic System with ED Glass
The low-dispersion ED glass in the four-element optical group dramatically reduces residual chromatic aberration, delivering images with pure colours and finely resolved planetary detail. The anti-reflection coating on every optical surface — Sky-Watcher’s proprietary system — ensures outstanding light transmission and the highest levels of brightness and contrast.
The lens edges and threads are blackened to eliminate internal reflections, further guaranteeing clean, halo-free images.
Self-Centering Bronze Ring and Integrated DSLR/CCD Adapters
The self-centering bronze ring provides secure, precise, play-free retention of 31.8mm (1.25″) eyepieces without any risk of damage. The metal body directly integrates DSLR and CCD camera adapters, eliminating the need for separate adapters when connecting to imaging equipment.
A 31.8mm filter housing allows planetary filters to be used directly in the optical path without additional accessories.
