The SkyWatcher Super Plössl Advanced 12.5mm is a classic 4-element Plössl eyepiece designed to deliver high-contrast images with accurate optical correction across the entire field of view. The time-tested design with blackened lens edges minimises internal reflections, eliminates ghosting and preserves image purity during observing sessions. The series is specifically engineered to reduce spherical aberration, distortion and astigmatism to a minimum, ensuring sharp and faithful images even at the edges of the field.
With a focal length of 12.5mm and an apparent field of view of 52°, this eyepiece covers a versatile focal range suited to a wide variety of celestial objects — from planets to low-magnification deep-sky targets. The multi-layer coating maximises light transmission, making the eyepiece effective even under low-light conditions. The filter-threaded 31.8mm barrel allows direct mounting of standard astronomy filters without additional adapters. The rubber eyecup ensures comfortable extended use for all observers.
