The universal 1× field flattener is designed to optimize the image field of refractors with focal ratios between F/6 and F/8. It effectively corrects field curvature, providing sharp and uniform images across the entire frame without vignetting. Optimized for sensors up to APS-C format.
Technical features
- Compatible with refractors from F/6 to F/8
- Field correction up to APS-C sensor size
- Low-dispersion optics to reduce distortions and chromatic aberrations
- 2" telescope-side connection with integrated filter thread
- Dual camera-side thread: M42×0.75 mm and M48×0.75 mm
Mechanical connections
The 2" barrel fits directly into standard refractor focusers. A built-in 2" filter thread allows the use of astronomical filters without additional adapters. On the camera side, two standard threads (T2 M42×0.75 mm and M48×0.75 mm) provide full compatibility with cameras and accessories.
Astrophotography applications
This flattener improves edge sharpness by correcting field curvature typical of uncorrected refractors. Ideal for APS-C sensors and deep-sky imaging with high-performance refractors.
